This time, I tried the Camel Menthol Muscat flavor with Ploom X, and here’s my take on the taste and experience.
After waiting for the 30-second heat-up, I took my first puff—and noticed that the flavor profile felt a bit different from what I remembered.
The menthol seems slightly stronger than before, offering a refreshing cooling sensation that ranks somewhere in the upper-mid range compared to other menthol options.
There’s also a subtle spiciness that enhances the crispness of the menthol, giving it a lively kick.
As for the flavor, the muscat notes that were prominent in the previous version now feel a bit more subdued. Instead, there's a unique, slightly toasty aroma—somewhat reminiscent of popcorn—that stands out more.
This toasty character is especially noticeable in the first few puffs, and as you continue, a slight tartness begins to emerge, gently bringing the muscat flavor back into focus.
The vapor itself feels smooth yet rich, with a hint of grain-like depth that adds a surprising twist to the overall experience.
